Colour shades

Overview

- Children create a colour card, blending from one shade to another, using objects collected from nature.

Equipment

: Card and double sided sticky tape

Method:

  • Give each child a card

  • Remove the paper from the double-sided sticky tape

  • Place a light green leaf on the right hand edge of the card

  • Find something dark brown and stick it on the left hand edge

  • Tell the children to find different shades of greens and browns and attach it in shade order linking the two colours

(Dark greens might lead to yellows possibly reds through to light browns)
