If you are planning on going for a walk or cycling in the area, but are not sure where to go, call into the visitor centre for friendly advice from the staff.
There are a wide range of maps, walking guides and routes that can help as well as a large number of booklets on the surrounding area and local events.
You can also have a go on our interactive touch screen stations to learn about the history of the area or try one of our wildlife quizes and learn about the wildlife that lives in the area . Please ask at reception for information, as the staff are always keen to assist, whatever your enquiry.
The visitor centre at Parc Cwm Darran features a spacious information area where you will find walking guides, maps and information on the surrounding areas, with friendly staff on hand to offer any help and advice you may need. The Lakes Café is also situated within the visitor centre.
The Visitor Centre is fully DDA compliant. Toilets are also available at the centre for visitors.
The visitor centre is open 7 days a week from 10am until 4pm.
The café is open 7 days a week from 11am until 4pm.
In the school summer holidays the visitor centre and café are open until 4.30pm
There are two car parks at the visitor centre and both are open to use for the public.
The Lake’s Café is situated in the visitor centre and is run by a local charitable organisation, ‘Drive’. The café offers a wide range of hot and cold meals and snacks, which is sourced primarily from local businesses.
With seating for up to 40 people within the bright and airy interior, or seating outside on the patio where there are 40 more spaces which wraps around the front of the Visitor Centre and offers magnificent views of the park. There is plenty of room for all the family.
