What better way to discover the beautiful countryside of Caerphilly County Borough than on horseback?

Where to go

Horse riders can use the many miles of bridleways and restricted byways in the county borough. Natural Resources Wales, who manage large areas of forest in the county borough, allow horse riders to use many routes and riders are able to use forests in Abercarn, Hollybush and Rudry areas.

Riding Routes have been developed in the Rudry area of the borough. These Ridgeway Rides provide 9 routes of between 1.5 to 6.5 miles of off road riding and were developed in partnership with National Resources Wales and the British Horse Society (BHS) and Safety and Facilities for Equestrians (SAFE).
