Countryside Collector Trails
Grab an album and start collecting!
What do I have to do?
In three of our country parks: Parc Cwm Darran, Parc Penallta and Sirhowy Valley, three Collector Trails have been set up. All you need to do is grab an album (there are three albums - one for each park), visit a country park and go for a walk. As you wander around you'll find, dotted along the paths, ten collector posts. Each post has the name of a creature, plant or place that is found in that part of the park. All you do is write the name of the creature, plant or place in your album next to the correct number. So, don't forget to take a pencil! There's a map with the posts marked on included in each album.
What then?
Once you've collected at least five names (from one country park) send us a stamped addressed envelope (don't send your album) with your completed card claim form and we'll send you free collector cards: all this information is in the album. You'll need to fill out the questionnaire in the album to qualify for your cards.
Each time you visit a park you can collect more cards by exploring different parts of the park and find more posts. There are three books to complete - collect all 30cards (ten from each park) and win a free gift!
How do I get an album?
Albums are available by telephone, written or e-mail request from the Countryside & Landscape Service. You can also get them from Caerphilly Visitor Centre or at the Country Parks.
Happy Collecting!
