If you’re looking for a place for a picnic or somewhere to kick a ball, a sunny spot to lie in, dappled woods to wander through, or riverbanks to ramble down, space to fly a kite or safe paths to cycle along then look no further than one of the five country parks in Caerphilly county borough.
With woods, meadows, wetlands, breathtaking views, unexpected artworks all to discover, they are great places to visit. Many of the paths are surfaced so pushing a pram and exploring for the less able is easy.
The National Cycle Network and local cycle paths pass through the parks so it’s safe cycling for families - just be aware of walkers. Dogs are welcome too but please keep them under control and please clear up any mess they may leave!
For nature lovers our parks are great for wildlife with many of our more endangered species finding places to make their homes. Skylarks, lapwings, great crested newts, dormice and brown hares all love our parks as well so please don't drop litter; they don't mess up your back garden!
Visiting our parks couldn’t be easier, we are open all year round (although some facilities may be only be available at certain times).
For schools and groups we offer educational visits, please contact us for further information.
