Sites of Special Scientific Interest (SSSIs) & Local Nature Reserves
You can visit all our SSSI's and LNRs in Caerphilly. Our listings provide you with directions on how to find the sites, and a guide to what you can see. All the sites are protected by law and managed by the Countryside & Landscape Service to promote their biodiversity. If you decide to visit please keep to the paths, don't drop litter and please keep your dogs on a lead at all times. These are places for wildlife - not for a wild life! If you are planning a visit please wear suitable shoes. The paths will get muddy after wet weather.
