Nordic Walking

Druids Summer Solstice Walk

Join us for this fantastic walk to Twmbarlwm where we will be joined by our Druid friends who will reveal the significance of the summer solstice whilst having a panoramic view of the sunset! You will need sturdy footwear, warm clothing, a torch and a flask (if you wish). There are some very steep ascents and descents so be prepared!

Solar Viewing!

Join us for this once in a lifetime opportunity to get a closer look at the surface of the sun-safely! We are extremely pleased to welcome back Cardiff Astronomical Society as they use their state of the art solar viewing scopes allowing you to observe the surface of the sun! The event is free and open to all visitors with the scopes being set up on the decking area outside the centre!

National Moth Night

Join us on national moth night and get up close and personal with these fascinating creatures.If you thought moths were dull then think again! We will be setting out light boxes to trap the moths (no harm done!) and recording our finds to send off to the national records! Tea and coffee will be provided and you will need to bring a torch and warm clothing! Meet at the visitor centre at 8.45pm.
