ANNUAL SENIOR CITIZEN CLUB SHOPPING TRIP

Darran Valley Community Council wish again this year to organise a trip for the Senior Citizens of Deri

Wednesday 28th February 2018

Anyone interested should contact Cllr. G.Matthews. Spaces / Seats on the coach will be allocated on a first come / served basis.

Grant Aid 2017/18 (Second Round - New Applications Only)

Darran Valley Community Council Section 137 Grant Aid for 2017/18. 

Local Organisations from Deri, Fochriw and Pentwyn wishing to apply for consideration for Grant Aid Support during 2017/18, please return a completed Application Form with latest Balance Sheet*, to the Clerk Mr Geraint Williams, by Monday 29th January 2018.

Applications will be considered at the meeting of Council scheduled for Thursday 2nd February 2018.

Should you require any further information please speak to your local Community Councillor or contact the Clerk on the telephone number / email address shown within.

Application forms can be obtained from your Local Community Councillor or downloadable from the attached link.

Please note. Applications without a latest accounts balance sheet will not be considered.

Christmas Street Lighting 2017-18

The Community Council is pleased to once again confirm Festive Street Lighting for 2017-18. This will include the dressing of the Tree in Deri and installation of x10 figurines in Fochriw, Pentwyn Groesfaen. Lights will be illuminated daily from 1st December 2017 and until 3rd January 2018, between the hours of 4pm and midnight. Please note Council has followingg feedback invested in additional lighting for the tree in Deri

Summer Scheme July & August 2017

The Community Council is pleased to announce that working in partnership with Sport Caerphilly, it is able to once again organise a 10-day Scheme for 8-12 Years Olds this Summer. The Scheme will operate in late July / early August 2017, and will be split equally between Fochriw & Deri Community Centres. All activities are free and fully supervised. Please send or bring the children.

Deri Community Centre 31st July to 4th August 2017 (10am till 3pm)

Fochriw Community Centre 7th August to 11 August 2017 (10am till 3pm)
