Cardboard recycling

Cardboard can be Recycled in your recycling bin/box at
home.

 

What will you collect?

The Council collects cardboard from your home every week.
If you have large amounts of cardboard it can be taken to a
Household Waste Recycling Centre.

 

What can be Recycled?

 

Yes please…

  • cardboard food packaging e.g. pizza boxes, cereal boxes
  • cardboard boxes e.g. shoe boxes, tissue boxes
  • thin card e.g. stationary
  • greetings cards and postcards
  • cardboard egg boxes
  • cardboard tubes e.g. toilet roll / kitchen roll tubes

 

No thanks…
  • Cardboard that has food on it

 

Where does it go?

Once we collect Recycling from your home, a Waste Management company take it to a recovery facility where the materials are sorted and seperated to be made into new things.
