Whether you are looking for a place where your child can learn how to swim, make new friends, take a class or host a birthday party, you will find what you need, and more, at the county borough’s leisure centres.

Leisure centres with swimming facilities:

Classes aim to develop children's abilities through a varied programme of activities and sport. Basic skills are learnt that underpin everyday activity and the majority of sports. Through continued development there is opportunity to progress to a more advanced level and to local clubs that are affiliated to the leisure centres.

Safety guidance
Parents and guardians of children under the age of 8 years should not leave the leisure centre while their child is partaking in a lesson/activity.

Children aged 15 and under can come on down to your local leisure centre to receive your free gym induction, and don’t forget to bring your friends too.

Our leisure centres offer a monthly membership, Kids Plus which caters for children and young people, aged 15 and under. Kids Plus entitles children or young people to enjoy unlimited swim, gym and junior classes at the centre of their choice.

Restrictions apply to gym usage and public swim.

Sit back, relax and let us take the strain out of organizing your child's birthday party. We offer a range of activities for all ages, including, netball, swimming, football, dance, gymnastics, rugby, basketball and trampolining. For an additional fee, some sites are also able to offer further activities and entertainment such as soft play, go-kart parties, face painters and a bouncy castle.

During the Easter and summer holidays and half-terms selected leisure centres offer a fun-filled playscheme programme for all ages.
