Our Facilities

• Swimming pool - A 25x10 metre swimming pool over four lanes. The pool incorporates a shallow area designed for adult learners, but is also ideal for young children and child learners. The pool can be used for a wide range of activities, including laned training and children’s parties.
• Fitness suite - A purpose built, state of the art, air conditioned fitness suite that is home to over forty stations that have multiple applications. The fitness suite is staffed by friendly, qualified exercise professionals who are willing to assist at any time. The facility has multiple flat screen televisions over both floors displaying music and live sports (including Sky Sports).
• Squash courts - Two professional standard squash courts, regarded locally as the best in the area. Both have wooden floors that are regularly maintained to ensure high standards. The courts are home to centre run casual squash leagues (open to all), and the Risca Squash Club that play in the local leagues.
• Sports hall - An indoor, multi purpose area with professional sports flooring. The hall has many applications, including five-a-side football, short tennis, badminton and fitness classes. For racquet sports, the hall can be divided into six courts that are available for booking.
• Gymnasium - A fully sprung, wooden floored gymnasium that is used for a range of activities including gymnastics, fitness classes, relaxation classes and circuit groups. The room is also first choice for a range of martial arts groups and clubs that find it ideal for their needs. The room contains various equipment and can be set up to include substantial crash and floor matting.
• Artificial turf pitch (ATP) - Full size, flood lit, professionally marked and maintained artificial pitch. The pitch can be used for football, hockey and has also been used for rugby training (non contact). Its most common use is football, and can be split into two smaller pitches, or used as one full size football pitch. In the past many high profile football leagues have used the pitch as a venue, including Webster’s Super Six League.
• Tennis courts - Three tarmac tennis courts with professional standard nets. These courts are easily accessible from the front of the Leisure Centre. Please note: the tennis courts are only available during the summer season.
• Function room - Fully licensed function room (with bar and café facilities) that can be tailored to your needs and requirements. Ideal for all manor of occassions including, birthday parties, engagement parties and weddings. The room can be split by partition walling, or opened up to host parties with up to 100 guests.
• Theatre / Performing arts room - The theatre area was originaly designed to host productions and theatrical shows. The room is a large space that can be used for meetings, musical or theatrical rehearsals, larger children’s parties, martial arts clubs, and a range of fitness classes.
• Cafeteria - A public café, selling light refreshments. The café is also available to hire for children’s parties for up to 50 people.
• Bar - The bar is a comfortable, relaxing area that is ideal for dropping in as a casual user, or for use after exercise. The bar has a 50” HD plasma screen television that shows many live sporting events. The bar is open to members of the public between Sunday and Friday from 7.00pm.
• Free car parking - The centre has two (free to centre users) car parks and an 'overflow' car parking facility for your convenience.
