The Manor, Cafe and Vistor Centre will be closed to the public on Tuesday July the 11th. We will be open as usual on Wednesday the 12th of July. Apologies for any inconvenience.

The building you see now was built in c1550 for Dafydd ap Richard.

The Manor was designed to be easily defended during the turbulent reigns of Tudor kings and queens and is one of the finest examples of a semi-fortified manor in Wales today.

HRH The Prince of Wales 'steps back in time' at Llancaiach Fawr

T372 years after King Charles I visited the Manor during the Civil War in 1645, HRH the Prince of Wales followed in his ancestor’s footsteps to formally open the new orientation exhibition at Llancaiach Fawr.
