Community Christmas Concert

Penyrheol Trecenydd Energlyn Community Council will once again be holding a Community Christmas Concert, in conjunction with Aber Valley Male Voice Choir, on Friday, 4th December 2015 at Penyrheol Community Centre,  starting at 7.00 pm.  Tickets will be available from the middle of November from the Londis Shop, Troed-y-Bryn, Penyrheol and proceeds will be going to the three Chairman’s charities, St John Ambulance, St Andrew’s Church and Groeswen Chapel.  We hope to see as many residents there as possible, singing a few carols, with some mulled wine and mince pies.

Santa's Visit

Santa will once again be visiting the children of the Penyrheol, Trecenydd and Energlyn wards on Sunday, 13th December.  This year, he will be visiting the ward’s children at TRECENYDD Community Centre and will be arriving at 6.00 pm.  All children from the Penyrheol, Trecenydd and Energlyn wards are welcome.  As Santa has already visited Penyrheol, Trecenydd and Hendredenny estates on his travels over the past few years, it’s now the children of Penrhos’s chance to see Santa’s sleigh travel through their streets.  Due to the size of Santa’s sleigh, he will be travelling around the MAIN road through Penrhos, on his way to Trecenydd.  He will then take his sleigh around First Avenue, East Avenue, The Crescent and West Avenue, before reaching Trecenydd Community Centre for 6.00 pm.  Pictured are some pupils from Cwm Ifor Primary School, who kindly sang some lovely songs for the children waiting to see Santa last Christmas.
