During the period 2011/12, our team of Community Safety Wardens have carried out 45,864 miles of patrols within the Caerphilly County Borough.
They have also visited a total of 4,478 ‘hotspot’ locations and attended a total of 149 community meetings.
Our CCTV operators monitor 145 cameras throughout the county borough 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
Over the same period 37, 582 Community Payback hours have been carried out within Caerphilly County Borough.

The Junior Warden scheme is a programme run in schools for year 4 pupils funded by Safer Caerphilly Community Safety Partnership. Who are we?

How do we make communities safer?
Our activities and actions are directed towards:
- Crime reduction
- Reducing and preventing disorder and anti-social behaviour
- Reducing substance misuse (i.e. alcohol and drugs)
- Making communities feel safe
- Making you confident in our ability to deliver real improvements.
