The Safer Caerphilly Community Safety Partnership works tirelessly to reduce levels of crime in the Caerphilly county borough.
We have a team of 10 Community Safety Wardens, who are employed to act as the “eyes and ears” of the council, who work in partnership with colleagues at Gwent Police to ensure that anti social behaviour, “enviro” crime and many other issues are tackled to ensure our local residents can enjoy an acceptable quality of life, and be proud of where they live.
Our team of dedicated CCTV operators also play an important role, in that they monitor 145 CCTV cameras dotted all over the Caerphilly county borough. They also work extremely closely with colleagues at Gwent Police to detect instances of anti social behaviour and criminal activity, and help ensure that residents can go about their day-to-day lives feeling safe and secure in their neighbourhoods.
