The statistics are extremely worrying:
“At some point in their lives, one in four women will experience some degree of domestic abuse.”
“On average, two women die every week as a result of domestic abuse”.
The Safer Caerphilly Community Safety Partnership is committed to putting a stop to domestic abuse in the Caerphilly county borough, and providing victims of domestic abuse and their families with the appropriate help and advice that they need.
The partnership, in 2007, opened the county borough’s “one-stop-shop” for victims of domestic abuse and their families, which since its opening has helped over 200 local people to escape domestic abuse.
These pages contain useful information on how domestic abuse is being tackled in the area, and most importantly, information on how to get help if you, or someone you know is experiencing domestic abuse.
