Bedwas Workmen's Hall

Built in 1923 using money raised by local miners, the Bedwas Workmen’s Hall has served the needs of the local community for over eighty years.

Despite falling into disrepair following the demise of the mining industry, the timely intervention of the BTM Community Council has ensured that the Bedwas Workmen’s Hall, a Grade II listed building, continues to operate as a centre for local community activities.

The Hall is now home to a thriving adult education centre as well as a youth club and a variety of dance and drama productions suitable for all ages.

Details of these and other forthcoming events can be found on the newly created Bedwas Workmen’s Hall website – www.bedwasworkmenshall.co.uk

The Bedwas Workmen’s Hall Committee, which is comprised of local BTM residents and Community Councillors working in partnership, is striving to make our Hall the art and cultural centre not only of BTM but the whole of Caerphilly.
