We support a variety of initiatives and projects in Caerphilly to ensure schools enjoy a broad range of education for sustainable development & global citizenship.

Some of these include:

Eco Schools

The Eco Schools programme is an international initiative that provides an ideal framework to support a whole school approach to sustainable development and global citizenship in schools.

 

Healthy Schools Scheme

The Healthy Schools Scheme is part of the Welsh Network of Healthy Schools and seeks to develop and sustain the health and well-being of pupils, young people and staff in the authorities schools and wider community.

 

Fairtrade Schools Scheme

Make the links between our lives in the UK and the lives of people in the poorest countries.

 

Forest Schools

An inspirational process that offers children and young people opportunities to develop confidence and self esteem through hands on learning experiences in a local woodland.

 

International Schools Award

Accreditation scheme for international curriculum work open to nursery, primary and secondary schools in Wales, England and Northern Ireland.

 

Eco Early Years Award

The Eco Early Years Award supports early years settings incorporating environmental and sustainable projects into the ethos and management of the setting.
